The Hand

I saw a vision last night when I unexpectedly awoke around 3:30am.

I saw my hand facing down laying lifeless like a glove.

Another hand, filled with power and life, was descending onto my hand. I could see that its purpose was to fill my hand, giving it both true meaning and power.

In the vision I was completely aware that in order for that divine hand to rest upon mine and fill mine completely, I had to submit and do one of the hardest things for a human to do-give up control.

Yesterday I had such a hard time in a number of ways.

Nothing had gone right and I was so stressed towards the end of the day that I could feel my shoulder muscles all knotting up from the massive amounts of stress chemicals, resulting in a horrible headache which almost had me vomiting.

I knew I wasn’t in a place of peace; I knew I wasn’t trusting in God.

I had allowed myself to be thrown off by some ill wanted news earlier in the morning and never gotten back on track.

A lot of people talk about the importance of getting to know oneself, even to the point of making it one of the highest priorities in life.

I can see why they would say that.

It is normal for humans to be curious and additionally, it seems like many of our pitfalls in life come from a lack of true identity.

Thus we reason, that if we only knew ourselves more we would somehow be better armed for the trials of life and less susceptible to falling down.

But as much as we could admire a beautifully crafted glove, examining its precise fabrication and exquisite craftsmanship, without the hand ultimately giving it both life and purpose, it’s only just a glove at the end of the day.

Today I started my day very differently than yesterday, for I desire to be filled by the Hand.
